Northern Athletics Conference Football Media Day to take place on August 6
WAUKESHA, Wis. -- The first-ever Northern Athletics Conference Football Media Day will take place on August 6 to kick-off the first season of football competition in the conference.

Wisconsin Lutheran College will serve as host to the event, which takes place this Wednesday in WLC's Campus Center.

The event is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. with introductions from NAC Commissioner Dr. G. Steven Larson, followed by a buffet luncheon. After the announcement of the conference’s preseason coaches’ poll, the head coach from each school will have the opportunity to speak briefly about their team.

Steve “The Homer” True, host of The World's Greatest Sports Talk Show on 540 ESPN in Milwaukee, will serve as the featured guest speaker.

Five football student-athletes from each school will be on hand to field questions from any coaches or media in attendance. NAC personnel of both the football and the non-football schools will also be present.

The 2008 Northern Athletics Conference Football Champion will automatically qualify to the 2008 NCAA Division III Football Championship Tournament.
