MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Rod Wilterdink is stepping away from coaching softball and retiring as the MSOE softball coach after taking the position in 2007.

Jessica Ott, women's head basketball coach at MSOE will take over as head coach of the softball program following Wilterdink's departure. Ott, who is in her seventh year as women's head basketball coach and eighth at the institution, also serves the athletic department as Senior Woman Administrator and advisor for the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.

In college, Ott played basketball at UW Stevens Point and is third on the list of all-time leading scorers. She was a four-sport athlete at New Glarus High School, playing basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball. She currently plays softball in the Milwaukee city league where her team won the city title last year.
